Our “work in progress” is a 1964 Dodge Polara 2dr, affectionately known as “Boris”, (because although not the quickest around, he is “bad enough”).

Power is by a warmed up 440 with a Mopar Super Stock cam, breathing through a Carter 750 on an Edelbrock Performer intake and exhausting through a set of Doug’s headers out Flowmaster 2 1/2 inch Super 40s. Trans is a beefed up 727 with 2700 stall converter feeding a 4.56 geared sure trac.
The long term plans call for the car to evolve into a mid ’60s vintage “Match Racer”, similar to the 1964 Dodge of Dick Landy that some feel was the first of the “Funny Cars”.

Meanwhile the main purpose of the operation is having fun.

Stay tuned for progress reports. Tom

Tuesday, 1/16/07
Sad news over the weekend, Dick Landy passed away 1/11/07.

RIP Dandy Dick, you were an inspiration to many and always a class act.
